NATURLOSE & DIABETES

Spherix teamed up with the University of Maryland School of Medicine to conduct a study for more than two years to test Naturlose and Type 2 Diabetes ( Donner et al., Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism , Donner et al, American Diabetes Association poster ). Two clinical studies with diabetic patients and normal subjects found Naturlose (tagatose) to be a therapeutic adjunct for diabetes. In addition, studies demonstrated that Naturlose protected against glucose spikes from other ingested sugar products. Naturlose also lowers the glycemic index of foods that include it as an ingredient. These effects are landmark for people with Type 2 Diabetes. Not only does Naturlose fight the disease, it provides diabetics with their long-sought taste of table sugar.
